Kenya
AA Ichamara lot 423
This is the diamond in the
rough that we were fortunate to come by. When we cup sample lots of Kenyan
coffees we look for a deep dimensional cup that finishes clean. This
particular lot balances nicely with the intense citrus acidity and a full body.
Aroma was lush & complex with hints of currant and leather. A dry berry
nuance reminiscent of black currants, grapefruit & cassis linger nicely with
every sip.
A note
about Kenyan coffees, when roasted too dark, they can easily loose their subtle
characteristics. Our roast recommendation for this coffee is a medium
roast (just between the first crack and before the second crack).
